Has anyone found wider steps for their travel trailer?? I have the normal manual fold two steps. The wider dimension that I am talking about is front to back. Mine seem to be about 7". I am looking for steps about 10".

I have seen extensions that bolt onto the front of each step but they were only in the 1"-1 1/2" range. It seems that these extensions had step lighting built into the as well. I doubt that you will be able to find 3" extensions that will still allow the steps to fold properly. Good luck.

Maybe bolt a 2x10 to each step platform? Or weld a 1/8" steel tread plate 10" wide to them?

The problem with extensions are if you add two inches to the top step you have to add four inches to the bottom step. However on the Jayco site (I was looking at larger trailers) I see that they are saying they have a new wider step, but they do not say how wide. I will look into that by calling Jayco. Thanks for your help.

Found what I wanted. They are Hickory Springs "Big Easy" steps. They are 10" wide and come in two and three steps.

Is that 10 inches wide or 10 inches deep. Can you send me the link? I was on their site but I want to make sure of the sizes before ordering. I think the 7 inch one on my Jayco is to shallow. I only have one step on the 29A.

Any decent metal shop that works with sheet stock should be able to fabricate something up for you.
