Marilyn and Kathy, are the coleman chairs easy to get out of? they look nice and it looks like the arms could be used for that extra little push up. We have 4 bag chairs which I don't like.

Yes. They are very easy to get out of. That is why I changed. The bag chairs store easier but these Coleman "director" chairs are wonderful. Also they have better back support and it is nice to have a table. I was in Ace Hardware yesterday and they have them in stock again this year. $34.99 for the Ace knockoff - it just has a table, no cup holder in the table like Coleman.

Yes, they are easy for us to get in and out of, too.
We purchased ours two years ago for $35.00 at a RV place that we stopped at in Wisconsin. Amazon has them for $39.99 but I didn't see free shipping.
Just checked Wal-Mart and they have a two-pack set for $80.00 with free site-to-store shipping.
What we love about them is the convenient little table, plus after you fold them up there is a little handle which is also handy. They are light-weight, too.

This is the chair we are going to try next. It is the Cabela's Deluxe Armchair.
This is the chair we last used that we bought from Costco.
This is the Coleman Deck Chair.

I have read all the postings with interest. I'm now considering these Highlander at REI-Outlet - wish they had cup holders. Have found these at other outlets at higher prices and pictures of how they fold compactly. We have learned that the "director" type chairs seem to be the easiest to get in and out and also be reasonably comfortable.

Looks like a nice sturdy chair. I remember years ago (many many years ago) you could buy a cup holder that you could stick into the ground.
PS don't know if I wrote you but we did enjoy going to the Clock Museum

I'd bet that it is made by the folks that make the PICO, looks like it folds the same, except for the telescoping legs - looks good!

gmctoyman - You are correct the Highlander is made by the same company as the Pico (GCI Outdoors). Was able to touch, feel, and sit in one at the local Camping store - liked what I saw. The price was still a little high $59 for our limited use. Will do some more shopping - Thanks for all your input.
ennajean - I remember those as well. The kind I remember were made from a chrome rod about the thickness of a wooden pencil that spiraled around the cup and then had a rod that you poked into the ground. (Clock museum is worth the drive and the time  )

We have 2 Costco fold-up director's chairs that we slide in the back between the back doors and the electric sofa. You just have to remember not to try to put the sofa down without removing the chairs. We also can slide in two plastic fold up side tables from Camping World in the same area. The back doors close fine with the chairs and tables back there and it leaves the coach area free of stuff. The chairs are comfortable, supportive and easy to get up from.
