The problem that I have encountered in this forum is that if you don't have a certain brand of coach. Then the bashing starts. I always thought that bashing other brands was very rude and what might be trash to somebody, might be a great coach for somebody else. So I myself tried to get out of the forum, but only if I could delete all my previous posts, which the moderator said I couldn't. But I notice that the forum has mellowed down some on criticism, so here I am!

I think people are programmed to read everything negative and are much too sensitive. They are as much of the problem as those being rude. Countless times I've been joking and someone gets serious when 99.9% get it. Even if you use smileys, they just read it differently..

Life is too short to worry about those people.. Don't have anything against them just don't feel I owe them explanation..

The ones who get it make forums enjoyable.

Can't please them all...

In perfect world, maybe, but internet isn't come to think of it neither is the public..

I also don't post very often because of some nasty responses I've read and/or received . . . and I have blocked a couple of those folks. Thankfully, someone usually expresses my thoughts much better than I would, so I don't have to post a reply.

However, this discussion made me go back and look at one of my rare posts. After reading it, I realized that one phrase could have been mistaken as being sarcastic or nasty. So, I edited it and rephrased my response so that it contained only what I hope is helpful info.

I have received such good, helpful info in this forum, and I thank everyone for sharing your wisdom.

If you want to know why some folks are rude check out my thread entitled "Pride and Ego"

You know, I don't think there is enough rudeness on this forum to be a matter of a lot of concern--certainly in comparison to many other discussion boards I have participated in. I think the monitors here do a pretty adequate job of making sure that most responses are held in check attitude wise.
I see some bad manners displayed occasionally about spelling and all caps but generally the folks here are very helpful. There are plenty of differences of opinion expressed and some of the opinions are strongly held and strongly expressed--that's fine with me, I tend to be of that ilk myself.
I think if we did a bar chart on "helpfulness" and "rudeness", that the former would stand pretty tall as compared to the latter.
