I would like to know if anyone has found a caulk that dries with a smooth finish that dust and dirt will not adhere to. The silicone caulk I have been using seems to cure with a sticky finish. Any suggestions?
I just Googled `caulk, no dirt' and found that Butyl Caulk dries smooth and does not collect dirt. HOWEVER, the description did not indicate that it would stick to fiberglass or other plastics; mainly aluminum. Maybe I didn't look far enough.
Maybe your local Ace Hardware would have something.
One other idea: find a paintable caulk and paint it.

If you are caulking the rubber roof, your only choice is the rubber compatable ones. If you are sealing metal or fiberglass then a good choice is a marine silicone sealer.

That is the LEAST of your problems. Silicone caulk should NEVER be used ANYWHERE on the outside of an RV.
Years of working on boats (both professionally and on my own boats) has taught be that silicone caulk belongs in the bathtub and NOWHERE else!
