We just downsized from a fifth wheel to an 18 ft. Eco (LOVE IT!). My question is about lowering the stabilizing jacks during storage.
For the fiver, of course we had to lower the front jacks to store. For the Eco though, it can rest on the center front wheel and double axle only without putting down the stabilizer jacks on the corners. This leaves no support on the corners.
Is is OK to not put down the stabilizer jacks during storage or should we?

Lots of different opinions about this.
We have a 31 footer and we do not put the stabs down when we store it.

28" stabs don't go down....see no need to and it could go bad if somehow the tires went flat

We store ours with the jacks up. The only time we put them down is when we're loading, unloading or camping.

I leave my TT's stabilizers up - never seen or heard any need and it would probably be something I forget to retract as I over-eagerly hitch up too quickly to go camping!

Many thanks! sounds like it's A-OK to leave them up. Like someone said, I'd probably forget to put them up when picking it up to go camping!!!

We are able to load our lightweight fine even w/the stabilizers up, so don't usually put them down unless camping.

for me it's simple. if the slides go out the stabs come down. sits in the driveway most of the summer with them down, hibernates through the winter with them up.
