Paul,
Thanks for the information, we just haven't "done" an incline....yet..
Did you go up/down in a certain gear? Or am I making too big a deal out of this?

I have an automatic so I go up in drive-----going down I gear down to allow the engine to do some of the brake work---don't want to burn up the brakes

Paul,
On the way down, you gear down to "2"?
Thanks again,

On the map which sites would you recommend for a 23' class C motorhome, that's level, has great scenery and is quiet? Thanks

Area A is the best. Was there two weeks ago. The best site is #11 on top of a little hill over looking the lake. Other good site are 12-18 close to the water. Sites 1-8 are good to. My first camp site was #23 and couldn't level my Class C so I had to move to site #22. This is a very nice campground and quite. All sites have plenty of room.

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Mark Twain

Hey Jim
yes, we gear down so that the engine actually brakes the rig---you'll gradually pick up speed but the use the regular brakes to slow down and then let it start to coast again-----this keeps you from having to "ride the brakes"
I also have a jake brake---
