New to the forum. I have a 2009 Rockwood 2501ss. What is the purpose of the shower hose guide. It seems like it prevents a person from rinsing off their legs. I am thinking of cutting a slit in the ring, so the hose can be removed when needed.

Welcome aboard! I guess you have a good idea there, I've often thought of the same thing. Guess it beats the alternative of having the shower hose bounce around the tub while driving.

If it's all the same to you, I'm going camping!

Me too......that silly ring really gets in the way......I've only taken one shower in our new TT and that was one of the things that I noticed.......Maybe a snap in type would do the trick.......?
Enjoy the new trailer and many happy hours of camping.....carol

While my trailer is different. the ring that holds the shower hose may be the same. I am able to un-screw the shower head and pass the hose thru the ring. Beats the cutting. don't lose the black washer inside. Hope it helps.

I cut a notch in the shower hose guide just narrow enough to release the hose. It works well and can be placed back into position while traveling.

That sounds like a winner, I have been thinking about removing mine altogether but like the idea of a little cut so I can remove when I want to. Think I will go get my hacksaw in the workshop and do that afterwhile.

I just got tired of it and took the head off and pulled the hose out of the ring and put it back together and don't use the guide. Annoying thing anyhow.

I just unscrew the shower head and pulled the hose out of the holder. It travel's fine when driving.
