I too have stayed at 'campgrounds' with 'honeywagon service'. They have regular days for pumpouts, and you sign up for them for whatever the fee is, and, if you need 'emergency pumpouts', they cost much more.

On the Eastern Shore of Maryland there's Holiday Park which has W/E sites, and honeywagon service or 5 dump stations. They are located on the headwaters of the Choptank River. It is very wooded, so there's little mowing needed.

Several other places I've been have had arrangements for extended stays, and you are responsible for your campsite mowing/maintenance.

I stayed at a campground without a sewer hook-up for 2.5 years!! They had Honey Wagon service that would come pump out 2 tanks for $3 (or 3 tanks for $5)... It was great, for 2.5 years they did the sewer for me, I didn't even have to be there! On a good week I could stretch it out for 7 days, though twice per week was the norm... They cut our grass, but they wouldn't get in close to the camper, you had to borrow a trimmer from them to do the close-in stuff yourself...

We're in a campground for several months - probably all season (through winter and into Spring)unless the house sells. No memeographed rules, they don't want full timers, but are working with me because of the house situation. We have a clothesline (rarely used, just towels and bathingsuits for the grandkids when they come). But the very LAST thing we would do is cut the grass...we'd move first! We have full hookups, electric and dump for $350/mo.

I stayed at a campground (they're all campgrounds to me) last week that had week, month or seasonal sites w/o waste hook-ups. Is there a term for these types of sites and where do you find them on the net? This place I stayed had a whole sheet of rules they hand out, i.e. No clothes lines. You cut the grass at your site if you stay more than a week with their mower. No entering or leaving the CG after 11pm, and the typical rules and reg. you see a lot. Are these rules common? I boondock at NPS CG's often where the maximum stay is two weeks so this stuff is new to me.

Thanks

I am at an RV park that sits right on the Gulf. $325 Mo. + Elect. Friendly staff, free WIFI and cable, full hookups and private fishing pier. Clean restrooms and showers, laundry room. Quiet and peaceful, except for the ocassional bear that raids the dumpster....
