Another couple of comments for future searchers:
The U-dinette is very different in usage and size from a regular one. While I hated the dinette in our first rv (too cramped, hard to slide in and out of, and sleeping on it was a joke), we have loved the versatility of our 23B U-dinette. My tall boys (both over 6 feet)can sleep on it and not feel cramped, we can all sit together and eat when forced inside and we can just move the table and utilize the extra floor space if necessary.
Also, not sure why making the beds "every night" would be an issue. I make my bed at home more than I do when on the road?! And when I do make the bed I don't consider it a pain the the behind. To each their own. :-)

Right on, I lost track of all the fixes I've done to my Jayco 23B and the last one so far was a speaker wire for the front speaker that had been wired to the negative of the ceiling light, I guess they thought they'd sneak one by and use the negative side of the lights and carry the speaker negative along with it, didn't work.
