From Golden you must go east on #1 (Trans canada) to lake louise then north on 93 to Jasper - the Icefields Parkway. Some grades but done by literally hundreds of Rvs every month. Must buy a Park Pass if you don't already have one.

As mentioned go east on highway 1 to Lakelouise, be sure to stop at moraine lake near Field , and Takkakaw Falls you might like it so much, that you want to camp there for the night and it is a beautyfull campground . I would top of the fuel tank in Lake louise, if you need fuel at saskatchawan crossing (halfway down to jasper on Highway 93)you won't have any money left to carry on to Jasper, fuel is that expensive. It is a very senic drive, with lots of pull outs and no big semi trucks there are a few big climbs but that should be no problem.
I would say enjoy the drive.

We took this trip last Summer. The highway was in good shape and was not busy. The scenery is fantastic and very pristine.
As you get closer to Jasper there are three RV parks and the largest is Whistler.
Have a great time and enjoy

eend, and others - Moraine lake is not near Field - up from Lake Louise. You probably meant Emerald Lake. Also - Rvers cannot take their rigs to Takkakaw Falls. Toads/tow vehicles only Tent campimg only at That cg!

Thank you for correcting the locations and information.I can't believe
anyone from Alberta giving that information and you certainly don't want to ever try the falls drive in a large motor home,it would be very dangerous,if you have driven it you know it.
