In Memphis, we stay at the ABC RV pk - I55 north, exit 14. 14 miles north of the I55/I40 junction. Easy in/out, nice folks, all pull-thrus, reasonable rates, shade, level gravel sites.
If not flooded from Ole Miss, a really fine park right on the river with a great view of barge traffic.

How are you coming I-55 south or thru Tn. on I-40? If it is I-55 then ABC is your best bet. If it is I-40 then when you get to Memphis take I-240 to I-55 to Ark. and Tom Sawyer is just 3 or 4 miles after you cross the river.

That's an easy one for Effingham. Stay at Camp Lakewood and go to dinner at Niemergs just a few minutes away. Best salad bar we've ever experienced. The campground has directions.

In Texarkana I recommend Atlanta State Park. Look on the Texas State Park website for the address. We stayed there last fall and it is an absolute jewel of a park.
We have stayed at Camp Lakewood at Effingham, Ill, with a 40ft motorhome towing a toad. We always stay at 1 of the campgrounds at Tunica, Ms. but is a little out of the way when going to Texarkana, but can usually get in 24 hrs that most campgrounds want you in early.
