I too would recommend the Texas State Park at Atlanta. Not far off US 59 and it had several pull thrus for me.

I'd recommend the KOA in Texarkana; very clean park and convenient to the interstate.

KOA LaSalle-Peru, Illinois is great. Clean, pool, great hosts, about 8 mi off the interstate. Quiet!!!
