Do you think the beer actually cleaned them or just provided a conductor around the crud between terminal and post?

I would have prefered to drink the beer and piss on the posts.
Could it be the beer worked like most other liquids, carrying the current or being a bridge?

I REALLY like Beer! It has a alot of good qualities. like making mr look better when I look in the mirror! If I apply enough, i really look better!

You might get a shocking result from that. Drink the beer, pee in a bottle then pour it on the battery.

then rub each down with a lime wedge, works wonders but, it is alcohol abuse.
