So what would you say is to high of a pin weight for a f-350 cc 6.4 psd? Models we are looking at are, WW 3000RKD tt and two Fuzion models. They are the 302 and the 362 models. Pin weights are around 2300 for the 302 and 2800 for the 362. Two people with riding gear and clothing with food. Say 300 lbs for gear clothing and Food? Number could be high or low. 100 gal. of water and our quads, Can-am's probably say 1400 for both. Weight is never going to be the same but we don't haul a lot of extras. I'm really liking the 362 but not sure it's doable. Intern then WW comes into play because it has some features that the 302 doesn't have.

we take ours out of the bed all the time not hard, Also the bed rails? well you are supposed to test tug first if you are latched you dont come off the bed crunching happens when you are not fully clamped on the hitch some 5er owners worry about that so they get a blue ox bedsaver.
We go to all kinds of camp grounds and have not had issues with the 5er hitting anything.
Cant imagine anywhere the tt can go that i cant? state campgrounds maybe? as we are too long at 38 ft.??? You need to think about how you are using it we do open desert and svra's no lenth limit where i go and we have thousand trails and another private campground we have no height or lenth issues with them.
Good luck lots of choices we looked for months!

Some examples of a 5er hitting the truck. Has your 5er hit your truck?

Lol I remember that thread Brad! Your 5er should NEVER hit your truck if you do the test tug as instructed, And as Tex says after owing this 5er 2yrs now you could give me a TT and we wouldnt use it

Hockymom, my point isn't to argue with you. What I offer is information. I agree with you, your 5er should NEVER hit your truck, but this obviously does happen and it IS something everyone should be aware of. Call it what you want, maybe you want to tell those who have hit their trucks that they evidently don't know what their doing.
Obviously, I have a TT and for good reason. I DO have friends that have had 5ers that have gone back to a TT because they kept hitting their trucks. They, like myself, still agree that the 5ers pull better, but like everything, they have their place. If the 5ers are the best in all regards, why do manufacturers even build the TT? Again, arguing is senseless here...just pass on information and your good/bad experience and try to be helpful.

Umm where did i imply arguing? All i said was i remember that thread, And it doesn't look like i am implying that if they have hit their truck they don't know what they are doing..... I just stated if you do the test tug as INSTRUCTED meaning when you bought the 5er they tell you that, Our RV dealer made it crystal clear that was not a step to be forgotten.
We have more friends than not (at least 10)that are 5er owners which is why we bought one too, Watching them hook up & tow and seeing the roominess in theirs was what we wanted also, Not one of us has hit our truck bed, I didn't even state that 5er's are "the best in all regards" I said we have owned both 2 TT'S actually and we would never go back to a TT that sounds like a personal choice to me as is your to own a TT.
That was EXACTLY what i was doing passing on info if you forget the test tug that could happen, I apologize to any posters that read my post to imply anything other than that, since i keep re-reading it and can't for the life of me find any implications to that affect.
I have a 5er for good reason too and since the thread was pro & cons to both i put MY EXPERIANCE as that is what the poster wanted

If you take your TH off road you are going to come very close or even hit your TH. I have hit mine on my old set up and it was lifted. I have had to stop and back out or change directions cause the TH was coming to rest on the top of the bed.

Without knowing what the capacity is of your truck I would say you're fine with either trailer. Is the truck a dually or single? That could make a big difference in pin weight. Consult your owners manual for max. weights and don't underestimate how much you will put inside the trailer, you'd be surprised how fast it adds up.

Mine is a slider and takes two people to remove/replace, it's heavy. I use a receiver type bike rack when I haul my bike alone; Bought one on ebay for 150.00, share it with my brother-in-law who uses it on his MH, slips in the receiver, light weight, bike doesn't move. I'm assuming you're talking about a dirt bike aren't you?

Sorry, I should've stated that my truck is a srw drive. When you say capacity you're meaning?
