We bought our RV from MT in Fountain Valley, we weren't pushed into the sale at all. The salesman must have spent at least 4 hours with us just answering questions and showing us different RV's. We finally settled on a used Fleetwood you see in the signature. We go back every once in awhile to talk to our salesman. We have also been satisfied with the service so far. But have only taken it back once. I use a local truck service for regular service. Whether or not we got a good deal I have no idea. But everyone was very nice and no one pushed us at all.
Once we signed on the dotted line we were scheduled for a walk through which took at least three hours. We were first time buyers and they made sure that we knew how to run everything before we left with the MH.

If you are getting little sympathy, it's probably because a search on this board would have helped you prepare for your purchase....and you probably would have ended up buying the same coach for less money
Really can't blame the dealer....It's their job to get as much as they can...They cannot survive selling everything at small margins and occasionally people walk in and pay close to full asking price and that helps the average profit margin.
Chalk it up to experience and next time you buy you will probably upgrade to a much more expensive unit and your newfound knowledge of the process may save you two or three times the $8000 you could have saved on the Pace.

Hopefully this is the first of your RV's and not the last. It sounds like you have it in pretty good shape now and should be able to enjoy it. What's done is done.
Stay active on this and other forums with your questions and answers, and by the time you are ready for your next RV you will be much better prepared.
Now get out there and enjoy.

You didn't get "ripped off", you just paid a little too much. No big deal, enjoy your coach...

My experience with MT in Fountain Valley pretty much matches that written by notaclue. We paid a fair price for our coach and have been treated well by their service department for after the sale warranty work.

fastzorro wrote: Has anyone else gotten the shaft by these guy's? They saw me coming a mile away and took full advantage of a inexperienced buyer. Got me for $8000.00 more than the coach was worth. Is there no scruples left in the world? I paid $25000.00 + a nice trade in worth $5000.00 for a 1997 Fleetwood Pacearrow 35', no slides in poor to moderate condition. , 74M miles. Lots of hidden problems that I had to fix. Its a really nice coach now (after $5000.00 of repair and remodeling) but it doesn't make much difference. Its still only worth about $18000.00 no matter how much I doll it up. Weep for me folks and NEVER go to Mike Thompson’s RV......
You joined this forum tooooooo late (June 22), you should have been doing your research for months before buying, not after the fact and then slamming a dealer for your mistakes. Chaulk it up as a life lesson and move on.
