Has anyone else gotten the shaft by these guy's? They saw me coming a mile away and took full advantage of a inexperienced buyer. Got me for $8000.00 more than the coach was worth. Is there no scruples left in the world? I paid $25000.00 + a nice trade in worth $5000.00 for a 1997 Fleetwood Pacearrow 35', no slides in poor to moderate condition. , 74M miles. Lots of hidden problems that I had to fix. Its a really nice coach now (after $5000.00 of repair and remodeling) but it doesn't make much difference. Its still only worth about $18000.00 no matter how much I doll it up. Weep for me folks and NEVER go to Mike Thompson’s RV......

I put Mike Thompsons right up there with La Mesa. I wouldn't get anywhere near that place. Now that you have your RV just the way you like it, take it somewhere else for service. You don't want to let them get you again. Now you know better.

I guess I feel a little sorry for ya, but you really can't blame them...If you are an inexperience buyer, you should have taken your time to do more homework...why blame them for your mistakes? If a person is over the legal age, then they are responsible for their actions...

Most all of us paid our dues the first time we bought and learned from our mistakes.

Gotta do your homework first. I've bought 3 times from Mike Thompson's. Last time 24% off msrp. They were competitive every time. It does pay to shop around. But MT does have a selection of Fleetwood that is second to none.

Lots of folks don't like MTRV. Very agressive sales force. They will negoiate to their advantage. It really pays to do your homework. While nobody likes to feel taken advantage of, you really can't go in there and expect them to give you the best deal around without substantial knowledge and effort on your part.

I've bought two RVs from the Fountain Valley store. I haven't exactly been thrilled with sales department, but have been satisfied with the service department.

Next time I'm looking for an RV, I will go to MTRV and give them a chance for my business. The sales person will be key; I don't put up with AHs. I tend to call someone I know at the dealership ahead of time and get a referral to a good salesman (that's what happened on the last two RVs). If I was to go right now, I'd call up my favorite service writer and ask for a referral. He knows that I can't stand most salesmen at MTRV.

Same here, they didn't hold a gun to your head to force you to take the deal, you signed willingly and now are finding out they made more than you think they should have. Time to determine that is BEFORE you sign.
