I just took my rig to the dealer for some minor warranty work. I asked the service department if they had any suggestions for the valve stems on the outer rear Alcoa wheels. They indicated that they would take the MH to a local tire dealer and have them reverse the stems so they would point out instead of in. The tire shop said that they could not do that because the stems would then leak air ?
Does anyone know if any of the Camping World kits will fit the Alcoa wheels ? Or ??
I really don't have a problem checking or adding air to our Alcoa rims using a dual footed gauge and a dual footed chuck. We also have the Tire Sentry TPMS and the wheel sensors are a bit difficult on the outer rear wheel but do-able with a little practice.

The stems can be rotated without loosing any air. Changing direction of the stem will not all make it easier to check pressure. I stopped at truck tire dealer to have stems rotated. He took the time to show me how it would not help.
Some of the SS braided will work. Need the set that will have mounting to the center hub.
Recently I asked my Chevy dealer the same question. He said it would very likely leak because the gasket could stick as you rotated the stem and might not seat properly when tightened. I guess everyone has a different opinion and who, as the end user, do we believe? It may be less convenient to check and add air but the offset gauge and air hose does the trick.
