As soon as we leave our camper, our dogs (both small) jump up on the dinette and stick their noses thru the mini blinds. Any ideas on how to keep them from doing this? The front bedroom only has a curtain and there is no place really to block them off.

Our dogs are crated whenever we leave them in the RV.
They don't require crating at home, but there are just too many distractions at a campground. Crating keeps them calmer overall, and it prevents them from seeing things that might cause them to bark and disturb neighboring campers.

Our Mocha does that, so she's crated now. The other, Bree, is not. It's the same at home. Mocha is crated during the day, and Bree is not.

Temporarily hanging a sheet from the window valance helps preserve blinds. Speaking from past experience with a lab and golden.

Maybe something like this rigged in a manner to keep them in an area of the camper or from getting up on the dinette.

Assuming you are simply saying you don't want the dogs on the dinette table - I'd buy an X Mat. It's just a plastic mat with a prickly surface that the dogs don't want to step on.

We have an ex-pen we set up in a rectangle in the motorhome when we leave. Each of the Scottsmen goes into one end on a cushion with water bowls in between. They never cause any problems, they don't bark when we are gone, etc. They sleep in there also. If it's not set up by bedtime. . . my Neal is sitting there staring me down to make me get his bed ready. Ho ho.

We used this device from Innotek. Worked very well for us in the house and the RV.http://www.innotek.net/store/index.php?c........&osCsid=1bb9cf3ad46de528435aca06a3c196e7

We also use a Xpen in our motohome. We put it up on the tile floor in the kitchen area where our 2 small dogs are then confined to that area and the hallway to the bedroom. We have plexeglass that is placed at the doorway to the bedroom so they cannot go in there. We place their dog bed, water and food in the area. I usually put the dog bed out first and as soon as I do, they know the drill and get on it. This has worked out well for us.
