I barrowed my dads Champion genertor over the weekend since I knew I was going to run my AC. Since the champion is pretty loud next time I would like to posistion it either in my truck or far as possible. That being said I would like to get a 50ft extension cord to handle the AC power. Would something like this work. Do I need a 30amp extension cord or just a plain 10 guage.
I believe a 3amp cord is a 10 gauge cord. You want a 10 gauge cord with a 30 amp plug for the TT and whatever end the gen has. I would also use a surge protector or something like the auto former to keep voltage clean from the gen.
