North Trail by Heartland. We have a 28BHS, 28 foot, 4900 lbs dry. Very good quality. Went on a few short trips so far, but going away with it for 2 weeks to Florida.
I think you'll find that there will be several "Best" light weight TT that are advocated in this forum. For example, my preference is the Jayco Jay Feather. That's my opinion as I bought one. My second choice was the KZ Spree. Others will have different opinions.

Like everyone else, my preference is the one I own. 27 feet long when open, weighs about 4,000 pounds wet and fully loaded, folds down to reduce wind resistance when towing. Fits in a standard garage when not in use.
Affordability and value is in the eye of the beholder.

It depends on how "you" define a travel trailer. There are popup's, hybrids, travel trailers and Lite weight or Ultralite travel trailers.
I have been going through this process myself. I want to use a GMC Yukon 2500 3/4 ton SUV as my tow vehicle so my choices are somewhat limited if I want to travel safely.
I have narrowed my manufacturers down to Crossroads Sunset Trail, Forest River Flagstaff and Rockwood and the Jayco Jay Feather's. I am leaning towards the Crossroads, but I won't know for sure until I actually see one.
There are a lot of good Lite Weights on the market today. The JayFeather, Rockwood, and Outback's are good ones, just to name a few. Good luck in your search!

Coleentroy, light is a relative term. Relative to what you have or intend to get to tow it with. This information is necessary to determine what you are looking for. I saw a real cute TT recently which weighs 1500 lbs. and can be towed with just about anything including most cars. It is made of a new material called alumifiber I believe. Check them out by doing a Google search on "T@B". Good hunting.
