Looking at either 2007 Newmar Canyon Star 3303(34 Feet) or a 2008 Safari Simba 30 SFS(31 Feet) Both Gas with Ford V10 engines. Both new, and both the same price(give or take a bit). DW leaning towards full slide on Safari, I'm leaning towards Newmar( 2 slides) because it's 3 feet longer has the extra chair, a slightly bigger kitchen area . Will the Newmar have better resale down the road than the shorter Safari or does 3 feet really matter? Build quality from posts on this Forum and other research says they are both excellent choices.

Both good choices, I'm biased and would go with the Newmar but almost bought a used Safari DP in about 1999 until I found high water lines in all the storage bays. Had it not been for that we might be Safari owners and biased toward Safari.
Buy which ever the DW will let you!

We believe the Newmar is the preferable manufacturer of the two you listed, but, either should be a fine MH. We believe that 3' does matter when using the MH and for resale.
Recommend wheelbase be minimum 54% of overall length for MHs.
Recommend you test drive each MH and accomplish quick to emergency lane changes as well as other quick maneuvers that will be required while driving on highways to determine which handles better.

Look at some used Simbs. You will then buy Newmar.

Exactly, Safari belongs to Monaco and is a fine product. Both are good and hold their value about the same. You will be happy with either one, so chose the best deal for you and don't worry about what the others say. You got responses from Newmar owners and other brands. I had 2 Safari's and both were very good. Monaco stands behind their product as well as some and better than others.

Go to www.rvknowhow.com and read the Kieva's suggestions for how to select an RV. You might also contact The RV Consumer Group, www.rv.org, for their ratings.
Which dealer do you like best? Which one will give the best after sale service?
