I am not sure if this should go here, or under Full Timing -- but here it goes.

We would like to spend the winter in or very near Eugene, Oregon. We would like to have a monthly rate at an RV Park, hopefully sort of a reasonable cost. (Is $300-400 reasonable?) We would like it, of course, to be a safe and quiet place. A pool would be great -- but that is probably hard to come by.

Suggestions?

thanks ----

It would be nice if you signed with your name so we would know who you are.

Kim: Do you know that it rains every day in the winter in Eugene, Oregon? There are not many options for RV parks - we stay often at the Premier RV Resort on exit 199. They have a pool, but of course it is closed in the winter. Also, since it is on the freeway, it isn't exactly quiet. Have you heard of this place called Florida? Arizona?

I say this as a devout (and native) Oregonian.

thank you for your response. Yes, I do know that. Our son lives there!! Guess that says it all ---

I wondered if pools would close in the winter.

I think Premier RV is really expensive. And yeah, on the freeway. I am trying to find a place maybe in Coburg. Out by the McKenzie River -- close, but pretty.

Check out the Premier RV Resort in Eugene. I don't know what their monthly rates are, but it is a fantastic park and they have a pool. I've only stayed there for short periods. Their web site is http://www.premierrvresorts.com/.

Well, the web site for Premier RV does not have monthly rates, so I emailed them for info. I'll let you know.

Any more ideas?

thanks.

Deerwood is just south of Eugene and looks nice. No rates published but driving by in the winter it looks like they have a lot of seasonal customers. And it doesn't rain EVERY day -- just seems like it sometimes! Deerwood

Deerwood RV Park is a nice place. TheVillage Green Resort is nice too. Too close for us to stay in (live in Eugene area).
There are also some smaller places in the outlying area.
Use this Link to help your search and then have your son go look at the places before you get here.
