Hi all, just thought I would pop in and let you know we survived the camp out with 9 teenagers and 3 preschoolers and the birthday party at the park. It really went quite smoothly. The girls in one tent, the boys in another and the little ones in the camper with us. Our daughter (the Mom of 3 of them) slept in a tent between the teenagers.
I was surprised how little that many kids ate...or at least real food, it seems like the junk food flowed freely. I am not sure what possessed me to do this, but am glad it went better than I feared. I hope the kids will have good memories of it for years to come. Already had one ask if we were going to do this again next year. LOL

You bet they will remember that trip! What an awesome memory!

Congrats on pulling it off -- that was a lot of work for sure. Nicely done!

They will also remember in great detail how many times and subtle differences between the trips!

Possumgulch,

Just want to add that even when it poured buckets and we were stuck in the tent (we were about 5 and 3 years), it was great fun.

No worries if camping trips don't go perfectly. Sometimes a little adventure is another memory kids won't forget -- in a fun way.

(Like the time our tent leaked in the cold NC rain and we all had to sleep in the Ford Station Wagon -- what a hoot!)
