I got my four Trojan's for $79.75 ea. and installed for $90.00 with cables but if the deal wasn't ava then Costco would have been my choice also.

Awesome..Thank you all for your help. Thought a Costco was a great deal, but I wasn't sure if there was some small print that really set the two batteries apart.

I own an equipment rental business. Combined, I probably have over 1200 batteries now. I buy 6-volt batteries by the pallet. The T-105 is a superior battery IMO. The equipment I buy come with the T-105s from the factory. In the abusive rental environment they will last almost twice as long as most other batteries. So for me, I can buy a cheap battery for 55 bucks had have it last 2 years or pay twice the money and have it last twice as long. Sounds like a wash to me. But, what we have noticed is that the trojan batteries seem to not spill acid as much. My lifts come with 30amp (dumb) chargers and they tend to boil the batteries. The torjans just seem to take abuse better. I think for the RV environment, if you take care of your batteries, you will not see much of a difference.

Tex..how much do you sell Trojans for, if you do. When I used to drive for a rental co, they always used Brodings own battery, or should I stick between the two?

I don’t sell the Trojan. I can purchase them at a descent price. But my account is not set up for resale. That is, I am a buyer not a dealer. If I buy the battery I would pay tax on it then I would have to invoice you plus tax. If you still know someone in the rental industry, try calling a United or Ahern store. They are dealers and have the resale permits in place.

I will send you a PM tomorrow on a different option.

Tex, I got a price today for $120 per battery plus tax, plus core of $20 per battery. This sounds outrageous to me. Is this price right?

Another one for the Costco brand. Have had zero issues with them.
I have a friend (Max) that'll most likely be facing the same decision thanks to his less then ideal charger.

Was that for a T-105? I checked today. The pricing for a national account on a t-105 is $95.50. So, a typical resale application will be about 15% to 25%. I know it sounds high, but if you sell 4 batteries for less than that you really don’t make much money to cover overhead. Now if you sell 200 batteries a day, then you could price it better.

I have been buying Exide batteries for $76.99 plus core from a national auto parts chain. If you like I can try to order some for you to a store near you and you just pay COD. But you will get my price. Although its is only a couple bucks cheaper than Costco. Costco will not deliver a pallet of 46 to my shop.

Toy-hauler got t-105 for 80 bucks. Not sure where he got them. But in today’s market that is a deal.

I just bought 2 from costco about 2 months ago to replace a bad interstate one and a bad sams club one. I have two banks set up and each batterie had a cell go out. oh yes the banks had the same matching type. anyhow I don't think anyone mentioned that the costco batteries are made by Johnson controls. I also debated the same thing but the ones that went bad are my same ones I put in in early 2005 and my wife really knows how to kill them, hence the 135watt solar system.

I bought mine from Allied Battery in Seattle. They had new batteries out of a totalled genie hi-lift that never went into service.
