Okay, so I admit it. I got spooked -- and I'm not a wimp or easily scared at night.

But...one night while renting a cabin with some friends, I was the last to brush my teeth and turn off the LAST light in the cabin -- I walked slowly down the dark hallway and saw a small DARK window about waist high (no curtains...it was "open" and could not be closed for privacy)...

...so while I was looking at this window and saying to myself, "Gee, this reminds me of a Big Foot or Boggy Creek moment" -- Yeah, you guessed it, something moved only inches in front of me.

I let out a horrified scream and jumped (the rest is a blur). Turns out a friend decided to do some stretching in the dark hallway and thought I saw her there.

It was so funny the next day, all we had to do was look at each other and burst out laughing.

Big Foot got me good!

Which movie got you?

It was "The Birds" that got my ex. The next day in the school parking lot a seagull swooped her direction.

Actually there is only one spoke movie I have never been able to watch after watching it the first time. It is called the Entity. There is a shower scene in that movie that scared the bajeebers out of me, another reason I don't like glass enclosed showers.

Janet Leigh didn't fare very well in a shower with a curtain!

When I was 8 I watched The Blob on TV. For months afterwards I could see the blob oozing under doors, over the windowsills, etc.

Not a movie but it fits the topic. I was home alone late one night as an adolescent and reading "The Amityville Horror" I was in my dads easy chair reading by lamplight when the lamp started to flicker and go on and off. Dang I was scared. The next day I said something to my dad and he said, yeah I've been meaning to fix that. LOL

Had a friend sleeping over when I was 11 or 12 and we watched the movie ‘Phantasm’ on tv really late that night when we should have been sleeping. We were both so scared I don’t think slept a wink until the sun came up!

Loved all the 80’s horror movies, they all ended they same way. Get a little action and then get whacked…

Driving up I-5 to Seattle - construction, rain, narrow lanes and tons of semi's....scary.

Forgot about the Amityville Horror, that was another one that gave me the creeps pretty good!
