Hi,

I have been looking at a Bronco 1251. Does anyone here have any experience with one?

Thanks,
Stan

I had one for 8 years. Only problem I had was a leak that rotted out the wood on the left front. Good to keep a tarp over them or in the dry. They are (relatively) cheap so not a lot of frills. Worked great for me on a short bed 1500 truck. I got great gas miliage and a set of air bags was all I ever needed. I would not be afraid to buy one.

I bought an 08 1251SB in March and so far I have been happy with it. It's not a Lance or some other more expensive unit but it works for me. Got a very good price on it and saved a ton of money. No problems as of yet and have used it a lot this year.

We have had a 1250 since 2003-4 and are very happy so far. We take it off-road mostly and have put a hole in the roof for instance but that's my fault, nothing to do with the camper! On my unit they seem to have gone overboard with the calking/putty to the point when they bolted it together a lot was squeezed out of the seams. Much rather have this than not enough in there. We really like the unit. For the money I think it would be hard to beat!

We've had our 1251 since January 07. Agree with pp's it's basic but so much better than a tent and has worked well on our shortbed with airbags. I also agree with the extra caulking/putty. It appears excessive if not sloppy on ours.

Thanks for the opinions.

I bought the camper and will pick it up next thursday. My wife and sons are visiting family in Maine this month, so the boys will be very happy when they get home to try it out!
