I installed one on our current and previous TT. it`s very easy to do and if it does break it is very easy to replace. just be sure the tank is empty!

I have one that I am going to install, however I have a quick question. It says to install it on the side opposite your level sensors. I cannot do that as my sensors are on the end about 6 inches from the frame and the tank is a couple of inches from the frame on the other end. What is the best place to position it in this case?

My install had a similar scenario, as the tank outlet and the sensors were on the driver side of the TT, and I didn't have the room to put it on the opposite (passenger) side of the tank. So, I put it centered on the front side of the tank (towards the front of the trailer) and got it as high on the side as I could, up against the brackets that hold the tank in place. I didn't have a hole saw that could work in the tight quarters, so I instead used a 1-1/2" wood spade drill bit and then had to cut out a little tiny bit more outside the 1-1/2" hole to allow for the Tornado's ears to fit through. Just did this with a 3/8" drill bit and worked it with the side of the bit against the ABS tanks. Went well. The little ABS donut from the hole I cut came out with the next flush - found it at the inlet of my Flojet macerator after I dumped. No problems with that.

The water drips a little at the tornado inlet where the backflow valve is when I am using it. Not a big problem, and it's only clean water. No drips from the tank. I mention this as I might be concerned with this on an enclosed underbelly.

Sure makes a cleaned-out black tank!

I too was a bit nervous about cutting into my tank, so I had camping world do the installation for me. They charged me approx $130 for the unit and the install. This way they are the ones liable if there is a problem. BTW.. I am very happy with the performance of the tornado. It gets out a lot more gunk after I have already drained my tank.

Wal-marts sells it online for $24.49, and free shipping to store. Installation in an unenclosed belly took me maybe 30 minutes.
