Hi
Since I am here (on FR2)...thought I'd take a few pics of our "area" for the Rally in June, 2009 (and to give the thread a little bump).

pic of front sites 5 thru 9

Deb...

Thanks.

Odds bodkins.

Are those trailers in the front of the front sites stored? One of the reasons for grabbing those sites was to have an unimpeded view of the land!

Yep...there are maybe a half dozen parked in front of the "front" sites. The storage lot here looks full.

I dunno.

Alway's an angle. There's money to be made in storing a TT and money saved by the TT owner. Seems more and more places offer a week of storage(or more) for consecutive weekends booked. The only problem I have with HTT ownership is that it really should be closed up during that period and that is a bit of work as well. Just not towing it both ways and for those who have to store it away from their home no issues with unloading the fridge.

Well, I booked a week but it may become a weekend instead.

Thank you Deb for taking the photos. I agree Scott, looking out on the storage area isn't too cool, but lets face it, they will be quiet neighbors! The lots look very skinny- I am wondering where we can have a campfire- Lets face it, our campfires would take up an entire site!!

It looks like the fire rings are to the rear of the back sites that would give us all the area between the site rows for campfire gathering. Might work out well like that.

That is what Rosemary said about those two rows if we wound up on both sides.

I am not knocking the place but this is where the rubber meets the road when it comes to price, asthetics and being user friendly. We all know how other campgrounds have been set aside to those elements not being met. Let's face it, even though some CGs are hard to get into there are others that are dying to have a nice group like ours come in.

That area will be perfect for the campfire gathering(s)

Hey Scott
I was looking at the weather radar earlier....looked like some "stuff" was heading your way. Did you guys make it thru ok ??

When Matthew and I left Ramblin Pines on Sunday we hit one he** of a storm, probably lasted 10 minutes. Hail probably the size of golf balls, wind, blinding rain, you know the kind of storm. There was nowhere to get off of the road. Just turned the 4-ways on...slowed down and kept thinking "How much will the windsheild cost?" When I stopped to get gas, looked things over, everything looked good. We arrived home, I climbed up on the roof thinking the vent and ac covers HAD to have some damage. Everything on top was fine. No leaks inside either. Very lucky !!
