Knowing the end was nearing, when the opportunity to have another dog came up, we jumped at the chance. Our mixed breed Bridget, was 17 when she passed. Bree came into our lives at just the right time. She adjusted and Bridget seemed to say, all is well with my family and laid down under the camper and went to sleep. Bree is the joy of our lives. DH says if something happens to her, no more dogs, I couldn't agree less! As far as I'm concerned the more the merrier! We have two right now.

BenBen is a rescued dog and I will keep rescuing one of my 2 dogs, but this is time for the well breed Lab. I I can testify that this is not a puppy mill. I have seen it, had one of the females (Hannah) who had only 2 litters and lived to 14 with no significant health problems, I understand the need to rescue, but it also is an individual choice and my choice is to rescue one and have a well breed Lab be the other.

Deb - thanks for understanding the "addiction." I think Aussies are just beautiful!!

Just saw a video of the girl. They call her Wish, but I don't know about that. She has the thick tail that Hannah had and looks like Koko in the face. This has come together so fast, but I think it is good.

Sometimes the stars just align and things happen. This thing is meant to be, go for it.

I fully understand the lab thing.

Go for it! If you "WISH" upon a star, your dreams come true (grin) (like Dr. Doug said...sort of)

I also get the "lab thing"! We'll always have a lab mix, at least! We got our Molly (black lab and border collie) last summer after our yellow, Jordan went to the Bridge. Molly didn't replace, but happpily distracted us and our other dog Max while we healed. She was 5 months at the time, and just the perfect age for us to train.

Good luck!

OK, I went out and bought her a collar. Does that tell you anything?

Yup Barb....your owned!!!!
I completely understand the Lab addiction too and there's no patch or gum to fix it so you might as well give in, you know you will.
