The problem is that most RV manufacturers do not give out their real MSRP, so the dealers make up anything they want.

How many times have we read on this forum of folks being given different "MSRPs" at different dealers for the exact same unit?

Don't get hung-up on getting a certain amount off "MSRP" or you may get screwed by paying too much thinking that you got 50-60% off some unit that was marked up to a fare-thee-well. Find the unit you want an compare bottom line prices and forget the percentage chase.

If you do find a manufacturer that does post their MSRP on their website, then you can figure out the true discount and you will find out it is no where near as much as some folks think. 20% is good, 25% is great (even more may be doable in this market).

Good luck.

If you find the pricing info on an 8 1/2x 11 sheet instead of the manufacturers window sticker, BEWARE.

We paid 65% of MSRP this April at a wholesale dealer ...

Best offer from our local dealer was 77% of MSRP ...

WOW !!! 77% off MSRP thats a pretty atractive deal if I do say so myself so you would get a $70,000 trailer for $16,100.00 ????That is if my math is right

You missed it by one 'f'. He said he paid 77$ OF MSRP, not 77% OFF MSRP...

when we bought our Montana I found 6 different dealers with 6 different MSRP's for the exact same unit and there was $6,700 difference between the high and the low, all located in the same region of the US. We eneded up buying for just under 35% off of the lowest MSRP at a local dealer.

We got four bids off the internet and ended up paying 62.5% of the listed msrp. The msrp prices from the internet dealers were all comparable, but the only price that matters is the price you end up paying, the real price.

The dealer we bought from said that he sells them cheaper if you order them as he doesn't have to pay interest while an unsold unit is sitting on his lot.
