We are planning a trip next year and will probably travel the Natchez Trace Parkway at the southern end between Natchez and Jackson. Is that road suitable for a motorhome and toad?

If you're talking about the Natchez Trace, you'll have no problems. RV's and toads are OK, but speed limit is 50MPH. Road is excellent, two lane without shoulders but also without any stops. There are plenty of turnouts with room for a big rig, but watch signs closely as some will not allow a big rig turnaround. These are marked, but the signs are small and easily missed.

Any part of the trace I have been on has been some of the smoothest road I have driven. Probably because no truck traffic is allowed.

Only one gas station on the Trace. SO you will have to exit for fuel.
At 50/55 you make good time with no stopping.

skycop. Our preferred route when going to Texas and returning. Great drive. We go the whole way, make good time even with 50mph limit.
