On our way to Myrtle Beach on Monday 6/23 -- we passed a bad accident on I -95 south at the NC/SC line. A suv and TT were upside down -- Saw two adults that appeared to be ok. Couldn't tell what had happened -- just hope everyone was ok.
Both vehicles were totaled--
Be careful.

Sure hate to hear that. Never really know what can happen while pulling these rigs. Gives ya a sick feeling in bottom of stomach when you think about it.

Be safe !!

5 years ago my in-laws were going north on 95 in Santee SC. pulling their 32' Holiday TT. A southbound truck driver fell asleep and crossed the medium,he woke up and slammed his brakes and just as the trailer was about to roll it hit head on to the GMC my in-laws were driving. When all came to rest, the rigs tandems were 1/2" from the front windshield on top of the hood, the truck was totaled and they walked away with minor scratches!! I was told that the worst feeling was standing on the brakes and beeing able to do NOTHING !!!

Could it be something about that area of 95? seems just last summer. There was another TT accident in that area.
I know that there ia an area on I-40 just east of Marion. That causes TT to want to wiggle around, Not sway. But everything just feels loose for a mile or two.

Might be a lot of rubber necking when going past South of the Border.

Yes, I do recall there a TT accident last summer where a young man riding as a passenger was partially ejected and killed. I believe they were from Raleigh enroute to Myrtle Beach.

I noticed recently that the "rutting" in the pavement has been repaired. But that area from Fayetteville to the SC line has always produced some bad accidents, especially around Lumberton.
