I guess I am confused what are we labeling as "locals"? I know where we camp you have visitors for a small few per person but you are responsible for them? I think that if you don't want anyone else there at the camp ground with you or something like that you should go buy a piece of land and have a private camp. I might be wrong but that's what I think about it.

I agree it's the owner of the campgrounds decision but usually in the summer the pool is crowded enough w/just the people camping so my opinion is campers only.I'd rather pay a few bucks more and the pool not be so crowded.Guest of campers fine(people in the community paying to use the pool is what I was referring to)

Well..forgive me, let me climb down off my high horse. Since I live in the campground, I know who are the campers and who pays. Campers walk to the pool while the locals pull up in their cars and unload all their pool stuff. Also, the majority of the campers here are older, with the occasional family, but not very often. I am at the pool daily with my 2 young children and I will speak up if there is a nuisance at the pool.
There are many locals that have been swimming here for years that respect the rules, but there is an occasional rowdy bunch that ruins it for everyone.
I was originally asking what y'all thought, there is no need for judgment, and if I came across as judgmental than I humbly apologize

Same thought but a different twist. The CG here is allowing the 3000+ out of state mushroom pickers currently here, to use the bath and laundry facilities for a $5/person charge. The two bath houses are constantly in use and due to the pickers working in wildfire burn areas, are filthy most of the time. The campers are all complaining about the condition and non availability of the facilities, but management is just not listening and is now loosing their regular customers. Many have left for this reason. Oh BTW, the pickers are not staying at the CG, but are living for free, in a "mushroom pickers" camp on USFS land.

I can understand what your saying. We were at a sp recently and the ones that drove up in the car w/ all there stuff was so rude and loud. They were using awful language. They had a son that was obviously challenged and was cussing at him and was treating him so bad but I guess they could have just as easy been campers.

Well, do you remember what happened in Caddyshack when they let the caddies use the pool for 15 minutes at the country club?
Sure, you'll have a nice synchronized swimming segment, but eventually the locals will push lifeguard tower into the pool and someone will mistake a Snickers bar for doody in the water. Not a good idea.
All seriousness aside, if it results in a crowded pool, then then limit the number of locals based on the number of people using the pool.
Otherwise, allowing locals to use the pool is just good business and a benefit to the local community.

I don't think they should let locals in the poor are to use the facilities. When I'm camping, I'm there to relax and have fun. I don't want to have to wait to use the pool or the restroom be nasty.

First of all, the owner does not live on site and has no idea what goes on other than what the management reports.
Secondly, we live here FT, not seasonal, we have local jobs and it is not feasible for us to just pack up and move just because of some bad apples in the pool - we can deal with that - management is on our side. These "locals" will not be back again as of this morning when I spoke to management.
Thirdly, I was not whining and complaining. I asked for opinions and I described a situation that I witnessed. I wanted to get a general idea about what different campgrounds offer and what everyone else had experienced.
P.S. If this is the same Wayne I know from this campground, and I hope it's not, shame on you for not confronting me with your opinion. If you're not Wayne B. from this campground, ignore this P.S.
