Going to look at this 2001 shamrock M25 hybrid in an hour or so. Its a 26 ft model with a couch slideout. Appears to be in great shape. Owner wants 6700 for it. Seem like its a good deal?

The price sounds about right. But since we have no clue where you are it's a guess. USA covers a lot of ground!

All appliances should work.

Condition is paramount. Be especially on the lookout for water damage. Roof condition is important. Good caulking needs to be up there. Areas around the bed doors are prone to leak and will damage the structure inside if not corrected.

Your nose (or your wife's or daughter's) are more sensitive than yours.

Spongy floor is not good.

I agree with Chuck. Make sure everything works. Put the slide out and bring it in and listen and watch. The fridge should be in working order and check the pump.

As far as the price, only you will know if it is a good deal. It sounds reasonable to me but my rule is that any price you are comfortable paying is a good deal.

Good luck. We have a 20 ft Starcraft with a slide out. These are nice units and you will enjoy the extra floor space.

Chuck hit it on the head - as he usually does. One of the first HTT's we looked at that got us interested a year ago was more than used and abused. Open EVERYTHING. Look inside for stains, loose boards, anything that looks out of place and not secure. If the owner is there, ask him/her to turn the pump(s) on, as well as the A/C and furnace, look under the matresses, under the sink, etc.

This should be like buying a house - leave no stone unturned. The price is right if everything else is too.

Don't forget to make sure your TV is compatable with the size of the HTT!

We bought ours 6 months ago used. The one thing that does not work is the adjustable arm on the awning. It appears to have been damaged at some point. We enjoyed our first trip in ours. Good luck.
