I just got a 2006 Dodge Ram 3500 with dual rear wheels. How do you check the air pressure in the rear tires? I found the valve stems in between the tires but very hard to get a gauge in there. Is there some type of flexible valve stem extensions that can be added so I can check the pressure from outside the tires? Thanks in advance for any help.

Yes, you can get valve stem extensions. I would suggest a permanent installation. Check with your tire people.

Camping world sells extentions for around 40 to 50 $$$. If you get angled valve stims and use a long neck gage that will work also.

Go to the local truck stop and buy a quality tire gage for trucks. Kills two birds with one stone.

I have found that extentions tend to leak so I agree with purchasing a truck type of guage. I use a dowel with a pice of hose that grips the valve cap to remove them. Good luck.

Any decent truck shop will have (or can get), extensions. Mine have been on 4 years with no leaks (yet). Almost 60K on it now, and 2 tire rotations, actually, 1 rotation and 1 new set of tires. smae extensions.

I use a long, about 15" straight front and angled for the rear tire guage, about $30. Had them, yes them, ie 3 of them for all my trucks for the last 20 yrs. Never an issue with checking the tires PSI on dually's.
