On this weekend's trip to Hatteras I discovered a cracked outdoor shower hose and that the Hot Water valve had come off. We dripped through the weekend, but I'd like to replace it with something more solid than the standard cheap plastic. I'd appreciate any mod ideas that are out there.

Thanks,

Dean

Only showers I've seen are just like what we have. Has the advantage of a simple replacement, no measuring, etc.

Could have frozen?

Yeah, we screwed up our first winter and forgot to winterize. The lines were fine but it burst the cheapo fixture. Dealer actually replaced for free (even though it was our fault). Been looking for a better set up ever since.

I replaced the fixture with a similar setup from Home Depot and then put a quick connect about 12 inches out from the fixture hose. Then bought standard plastic hose at 10 feet and attached shower head to the end. I just take the hose off the quick connect and store when not in use and I can use the shower head on other side of trailor for washing dishes outdoors in the shade or use as shower away from trailor so my grandkids are not making a mud puddle next to the trailor. I also don't have to worry about trying to fit the hose inside the small space provided at the fixture. I stoled this mod from someone on this site several years ago and it has really worked well so I don't take credit for the idea.

Can you please describe or provide a photo of the Home Depot replacement?

...And yes Chuck I thought it was blown out completely but some must have either gotten stuck or the nut just backed off enough.

Thanks,

Dean
