On my 2004, there really wasn't a change over time. I see a 10% increase in the summer over winter.

Somehow, burning 30-40% more fuel in the name of emission control doesn't make much sense.

They really don't care how much you burn. They just want those tiny little devil particles out of the air. If it costs YOU more no problem. Another example of hidden taxes.

My 20007 Roadtrek Sprinter always gets 20-22 mpg, and this is driving mostly at 65-70 mph.

So you have a 4.11 rear end which contributes to your mileage being lower than it could be but, you have the smaller, older engine which helps your mileage greatly.

Wish I knew how you do it! I would be happy with anything over 20mpg. You have the same engine as I do and a transmission that is geared lower - wow, that is great!

Keith

Is that a 2007 RT built on the 2006 Sprinter chassis? Or a 2007 RT built on the 2007 Sprinter chassis?

The 06 chassis had the I5 engine. The 07 chassis has the V6 engine.

There is a huge difference if fuel mileage between the two.

Not neccessarily. We need to wait until he specifies which chassis year he has. Pretty sure most, if not all, of the 2007 model year RT's were built on the old 2006 Sprinter chassis.

I wonder. A 2007 Roadtrek could be built on a 2006 chassis. How about it DRSFUN, is your 2007 model the conversion model or chassis model?

On edit: Whoops! I should have read ahead and seen Erroll's posts before adding mine.

I don't recall any B manufacturer delivering any 2007 chassis Sprinters until this year and they would all be called 2008 models. Given the MPG at 20-22 at the speeds driven it would have to be a 2006 chassis.
