Here's a couple of pics of Baby Back Ribs done in my new Ultimate Dutch Oven last weekend. I put the oven on my camp stove and slow cooked them for two hours on low heat. No coals were used. They turned out great! Real tender and moist. Most of the fat drained away into the bottom of the oven below the trivet. This was probably the easiest way I have ever done ribs, and they turned out better than any other I have attempted!

I tried a couple of new dishes this weekend. Inspired by AZCampinfool, I did ribs, which I slow roasted in the dutch oven and then finished on the grill. I also made a meatloaf.

Dry rubbed prior to cooking.

After a couple of hours of "slow and low".

Then finished over the fire with"Sweet Baby Ray's" BBQ sauce.

Meatloaf, dutch oven style.

Cutler, those look awesome!! I too basted my ribs with Sweet Baby Rays after I took them out of the oven! I'm glad to see I was a good influence on someone....

Cutler, your meatloaf reminded me of a pot roast I did a while back. I may have even posted these pictures here before but I don't remember. This was a real easy recipe also. Lipton Onion soup mix, carrots, potatoes, onions, a pinch of salt and pepper and let it cook for three hours....man oh man....let's eat!!

I'm thinking the same thing about a whole bunch of these recipes and photos.

And it was good, have made it several times and the kids love it.
