Just a heads-up: the I-95 bridge in Pawtucket, RI has been restricted to 22 tons for a while, and dropped to 18 tons recently. However, there are new signs up in the past week: the limit is still 18 tons total weight, but now vehicles are limited to 2 axles per unit. This means no tag-axle MH's and no 3-axle 5ers allowed. The fine is $3000 and it IS being enforced.

I'm glad that I take I-295 around that whole mess (Providence/Pawtucket) as a matter of course.

Update: the Sakonnet River Bridge (Rte 24) is also now limited to 18 tons & 2 axles/unit. Tag MH's and 3-axle 5ers headed for Newport have to detour (pretty well-marked). Just a heads-up...
