We're "close to being fulltime" House is on the market and we have the 5th wheel waiting in storage. Have the one ton Dodge to pull it with. Question is: The 5th wheel has the usual two reclining chairs and the couch that turns into a bed. We'd like to replace the chairs with leather covered ones that we own (they're small but comfy and don't recline) Also, replace the sleeper couch with a leather covered love seat. The reason is that we'll be full timing with two cats and a lab. Animal hair "sticks" to the fabric of our current furniture. Question is: How the he## do you get this original furniture out of the 5th. wheel and the other stuff in. It seems like the door is way too small. Did they put the furniture in and then build the coach around it or what? Any insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all!

Our recliners and couch were built to 'break' into 2 pieces with the back coming off the seat. Look them over carefully to see if there is a catch or bracket that you can disengage which will allow you to separate the parts. The LaZBoys we bought as replacements also have a catch which allows the back to be slid off the seat.

That is the way mine are also made and I broke them down and was easly getting them out...now I don't know about your "stick" chairs but would bet they are also the same way.

We replaced the heavy furniture in our 5th wheel with lighter weight alternatives. The RV furniture wasn't comfortable and, as fulltimers, we wanted comfy recliners because we spend so much time in them!!
The original sofa bed was a bit tough to get out, but 2 strong men were able to do it. We replaced it with a love seat. The backs came off the new recliners making it easy to get them into the RV. The changes made the 5th wheel feel more like a home.

We replaced the furniture in our trailer. The RV furniture was not comfortable. I have a larger door than most fifth wheels, but the dealer was ready to remove a window to get the furniture in.Not a big deal to do as they said it would only take a couple of hours to remove and replace it.

I removed our two recliners very easy. We tilted them on their side first, then turned them accordingly. Have not tried the couch yet.

Just took my flex steel sofa out of my TT and replaced with two recliners. Back of sofa slid up and off easily and was a cinch to get out the door. The two replacement recliners had removable backs also. Piece of cake.

As everyone else has stated mine split into two sections and out the door it went. I then replaced the two recliners with a euro type from Costco and the sofabed with a reclining love seat. We now have a trailer that truly only sleeps two. When we bought it the boys asked why we got one that only slept four and we told them cuz we couldn't find one that only slept two.

We removed our sleeper sofa. Contacted Nu*Wa and asked how to do it. They let me know what screws to remove and made it alot easier then if we had done it ourselves. We didn't get the little recliners that came with the trailer, but bought two Lane recliners at a furniture store. Got the ones where the back comes off. Just had to measure to be sure they fit in the area where we wanted them.
