Could anyone help me with this problem. I have sent Good Sam several e-mails, and phone calls, regarding being over charged on my membership renewal. Every time I get in contact with someone, they say that they will send it up to the line to someone else who can answer my questions but nobody ever returns my e-mail or phone calls.
As a matter of fact I have been told by one person that there is no recort that I have ever been in contact with Good Sam.

What should I do?, I am at the point where I think should be writing at letter to Mike Schneider or Sue Bray, and start giving them the names of all the people who I have been talking to and been given promises of a call back from, I hate to do that , it is not my intension to get anyone in hot water. But I do hate to be ignored when I feel that there is a mix up in my membership.

Thanks for any help you may be able to provide

If you paid by credit card, call your credit card company and dispute the charge. I bet that you will get a call from Good Sam then.

I have a great idea! Just cancel your membership and get a pro-rated refund. What good is a Good Sam membership, anyway? Except maybe to make more money for Affinity Group.

Good Sam is terrible that way. We no longer use them. There was no benefit only a burden to having them.

I would not be the least bit concerned about getting someone in "trouble" since they as a group are not doing the job of customer service & maybe the people in charge need to hear from you that this level of customer will not be tolerated.

I don't know why the thought of getting someone in trouble for not following up on your problem, as in doing their job, would bother you.

Years ago my wife suddenly started getting collection calls on her cell phone. She had the number for years, the woman who used it obviously pulled the number out of the air.

The people calling wouldn't believe it wasn't the right number and would give very little info as to who they worked for. The calls came almost daily, early, late, vacations, work, they wanted their money. Finally I pieced enough together to realize the loan had been made thru LaSalle bank and wrote the president. His secretary called and sent a letter, was very apologetic and the calls stopped.

You do what you have to do, too bad if idiots get in a jam because of their laziness and stupidity. Does it seem like they are worried about you and your problem which they are being paid to resolve?

Yeah but don't you miss their mailings???....Oh I forget...you're probably still getting their mail. They're always keen to respond by sending you lots of junk mail...I usually just put it all back in their postage paid envelop and send it back to them...I figure someone has to open it and spend time sorting through the junk. I sometimes even put in offers from other junk mail I have laying around. I figure sooner or later they will get the message...in the mean time I'm doing my part to keep the US Postal Service in business and keeping someone employed at Good Sams.

As others said...I'd dispute the charge with my credit card company....that should get their attention. And if you cancel I'm sure you'll still get plenty of mail from them regardless.....

As others have said, don't be hesitant to complain to the CEO, the COO, or any other "Chief" whose number or address you can find. These people have jobs to do, and part of their job is to make sure that people below them are doing THEIR jobs - which is apparently not happening. Also notify the CC company as others have suggested. Finally, keep copies of e-mails, letters, and notes of all people you spoke with, or tried to speak with, including date and time. Companies like these try to wear you down by ignoring you, hoping you'll just go away. DON'T! Someone at "Good Sam" must be wondering about all the people canceling memberships, insurance, etc. You'd think a company that allegedly deals in "service" would provide some.

I think you do need to write that letter to Sue Bray, or one to Trailer Life's RV Action Line.
