I worked at a major RV dealer/service center a couple of years ago. You couldn't give me a Rexhall product. I've seen too many of them in the shop and know what the service techs say about them.

Perhaps the key is to not build them out of "paper." Don't believe that line about an rv being like a house going down the highway so disintegration is inevitable. It's not. My rig is 14 years old, has 130,000 miles on it, and the only time I've used a drill is when I was changing out hardware and valances that I didn't like!

Thanks to mehwwh's post, I set the DVR for the 1:00PM Saturday time, and then watched it this past Sunday afternoon. I thought the manufacturing process was pretty impressive. I was most surprised at how much stuff Winnebago manufacturers themselves at their various facilities in Iowa. A good example of good ole American manufacturing and craftmanship.

I caught the last 45 minutes of it and was amazed at the steps that go into making something like that. Now when I see one on the road, I think of the show and all the work involved.

Most of us who own a Rexhall product would disagree. I have had very few problems with mine considering the complexity of the product.

I am pretty sure the date of the show was 2004. I wonder how many people they showed still work there.

When we picked up our new Rexhall in May, we took a factory tour, and the man that gives the tour was off sick so Bill Rex gave us a tour. He told me if their was a warranty problem to find an independent shop. Unless their was no choice stay away from dealer shops, as they were nothing but problems. My past experiences with dealer shops have been bad at best. Kamper Kens friends will not touch my motorhome.

For those that missed it the show is called "Ultimate Factories" on the National Geographic channel. I believe they have also shown the Coevette Z06, Harley Davidson ultra factory as well as the Ferarri factory....pretty neat show.
