We just got back in from Lancaster. This trip we stayed at Roamers Retreat. Quiet CG no pool, A little playground but located well for all the things to do in area.
Have been to Spring Gulch, Nice big lots to do for kids. But costly!
Same with Lake in Wood real nice with lots of things for the kids.
Usually make 2 trips A year to Lancaster, When we go there its usually just DW and myself so after the stay at Roamers Retreat that is where we will be heading due to location and the quiet of that park
Happy Camping!!!!
PS You should definitely make your Res now for next month for anywhere you decide to go.

I would have to second Old Mill Stream if you want to be close to where everything. Spring Gulch is nice, Roamers Retreat is nice too, in fact I haven't found a really bad campground in the area.
As for things to do. The is outlet shopping, amish shops, Dutch Wonderland (an amusement park for younger kids), and Hershey Park is not to far away. I don't know how long or when you are planning on going but we go there at least twice a year.

Just got home last Sunday from Lancaster,PA. We stayed at Country Acres. Very nice campground. Had to have a access card to get through the gate into campground. Take advantage of the free bus tour the campground offers. It was great. Visited several farms and nice drive through the country. We ate the buffet at Bird-N-Hand Restaurant. Visit the Amish shops and the Strasburg Railroad. Lots of things to see and do.

we stayed at lake in the wood 2 weeks ago very nice campground. If you want a more open site ask for the 113s/114s red carpet area. other sites in the woods but nice . Very well taken care of, pool mini golf fishing etc... we will go back
