Thanks everyone for the advice. we have a 22' class C with a small trailer. I gave many campgrounds consideration and figured Rubys was the best for us onr first trip there. I would have rather stayed at kings creek, but wasn't sure if full hook up would be necessary to stay comfy at night. I now realize that night time lows will be comfy. Anyway, thanks again for the advice.

I stayed at Rubys Inn last August and we had a blast, one of my favorite long trips! We made late reservations and were in 115 or so, great very long spot. The top water/electirc only spots were also very cool if you can live without dumping. Very neat place. We road through the campground by Tropic and it also looked very cool, secluded with only an few other campers.

Hello,

We are thinking of going to Bryce and Ruby's next year, but we're street motorcycle people. We have 2 bikes we pull in an enclosed trailer. Is the RV park at Ruby's paved, such that we wouldn't be driving on a dirt road coming and going to the RV?

Appreciate any insight.

Thanks.

We spent last week at Kings Creek near Bryce (Ruby's Inn). Amazingly we made it the whole week without dumping midweek and only added 12 gallons to my 60 gallon tank during the seven days.

Days were fine temp wise but at night it did get a little chilly, ended up turning the heat on a couple of times. The RV park at Ruby's is nice but some spots don't offer much shade. Also the pool is nice if you have kids.

It's gravel, no pavement.

We stayed at Ruby's on July 1st. Spot 105. I have an Inferno 42.5ft no problem.

The Tropic Resevoir was nice. We rode over to it. Lots of camping there, just no electric. Don't know if there is a strict quiet time that would prohibit generator use.

Quiet hrs between 10pm and 7am no generators.
If boondocking around the resevoir you could probably run it without any trouble.

Anyone have any pics of camping around the Tropic Res? Friends of ours commented about the idea of going to Utah again and asked if we would be interested - so we're going to start talking about it seriously for the summer of 2009 and I know both families like the idea of getting away from things. If we can swing in the Res. then that would fit the bill for giving the kids something else to do when not riding.

Someone as anal as me?LOL

All RV spots are dirt/gravel. My spot was 20' away from the paved road(s), some spots were 100' from the paved roads within the campground. If you park your bikes in your trailer at night, you might be able to park your trailer in such a way to drive onto the road surface from the trailer while still parking within your RV space.
