We just stayed at Kings Creek (near Tropic Reservoir) and I don't remember if what times were the quiet times. If you go east of Tropic Reservoir they have seven dispersed campsites available. Some of them quite nice with streams running through them. If we go back next year we'll stay at one of the dispersed sites.

Some of you requested pictures of the Tropic Reservoir area. We were there last week

Thanks for the pics. I'm trying to recall if any of the campsites were near the water, I think they were all up a bit in the trees though. Anyone swim there?

We stayed there just 2 weeks ago. Loved it!! We will definately go back. Being able to ride to and from your actual camp site is money. I have a big set up and I was able to go into the camp grounds with no problems.

Yes you are able to swim in the resorvoir, and yes, the campground is a bit above the lake.

All RV spots are dirt/gravel. My spot was 20' away from the paved road(s), some spots were 100' from the paved roads within the campground. If you park your bikes in your trailer at night, you might be able to park your trailer in such a way to drive onto the road surface from the trailer while still parking within your RV space.

We are thinking of going to Bryce and Ruby's next year, but we're street motorcycle people. We have 2 bikes we pull in an enclosed trailer. Is the RV park at Ruby's paved, such that we wouldn't be driving on a dirt road coming and going to the RV?
Appreciate any insight.
Thanks.
Thanks everyone...
Hey NTORACN...or anyone else. Whats the best way to get to Ruby's (30' Class A pulling a 7x10 enclosed trailer). Coming from the South on I-15, should I get off at Hurricane? or go up to St. George?
Any problems either way?

rmcobb, we went Hwy 59, 389, 89 to Ruby's but we did stop at Coral Pink. I'd take the 9 Highway via the Harrisburg Junction and hook up with 59 and keep on cruising.

Thanks. Just out of curiosity, why wouldn't I just stay on 9 over to 89?
Is 9 to twisty/curvy as it goes through Zion....making the other way actually less travel time? or ?
Sure looks like 59/389 through Fredonia, Kanab and Coral Pink is the Scenic route though.
