As an ex-Airborne Ranger (1974-1977) I know how hard it was for him, and the grief that lies yet ahead of him. 90% of Ranger School is mental conditioning. You have to "do it in your mind....before you can do it in your body".
Anyways, my heartfelt congrats to your son and the best to him for his future.
Give my thanks to your son. I was at Ft Benning on a paid recreational vacation compliments of Uncle Sam In July & August of 1966. My best wishes to him for success and safety.

It's said ignorance and apathy cause most of the world's problems, but I don't know and I don't care.

Yeah, when we went for OSUT graduation, my son's Commander told us they had really been living it up at Georgia's finest Club Med. Thanks to all of you. Seth is really loving the military, and I know he can succeed at anything he really wants. He is home this weekend, and I will show him all your comments. They will mean alot to him.
