We just got back from a trip to Canada - a little over 2000 miles round trip. It was very noticeable that there were less Class A units on the highways. As a matter of fact I think we saw less numbers of all types campers. Have you noticed that too? What is the status of the campgrounds occupancy that you have noticed? Some places we thought would be pretty full had vacancies.

Last weekend we dorve to another city for a cat show on I-5 in WA. There were lots of RV's on the road here. Wife drives about 40 miles on I-5 everyday to work and back and hasn't noticed fewer RV's either.

Campgrounds we have been to have been wide open, even on weekends. Called ahead to make reservations and most of the time were told not necessary.

3000 miles Phoenix to New Hampshire. Roads are empty of class A's One campground we stopped at in Waynesboro, VA. wanted to know if we had seen anyone on the road. In the campground we're in now, we have only seen one class A and one 5er come in. We've been here over a week. So far we have'nt been told "sorry, we're full" yet. It's getting to the point where we say "hey look another class A" when we see one. Kinda sad, really. C'mon people, President Bush borrowed 600 bucks from the Chinese for each of us so we could get at least one more year of fun!

We're currently in northern AR and the campgrounds are virtually empty. The owners both said this should be their busy time and they are hurting. Had friends in RV park close to Branson and it was the same there. I'm sure the real touristy areas that have always had waiting lists to get in the RV parks are ok, but others around the country aren't doing so well. It hasn't made them come down in price though!

We are in Lakeside rv park in Branson and it is full, has been all week. As soon as one leaves another takes it's place. Last weekend in nw Ark it was full and park attendant said it fills up every weekend but only about half full during the week.

We have a 2 weeker planned for Colorado in July. We had alot of trouble finding a spot in several campgrounds. One campground told me they have had a lot of cancellations but they are full because of the locals. Shorter trips. It will be a 3000 miler for us and we can't wait!!

I have not noticed that much of a change last week traveled I-40 MS to OK.
I expected to see a lot less based on this forum.

I did notice most trucks were doing 65 instead of blowing my doors off as in the past.
