A friend of mine lost her husband a while back and now she wants me to buy his coach and race car trailer combo. She wants me to make an offer for it and if I were to buy it I would want to give her fair market value. I don't think it would work for me since it's geared more for business than for living in during retirement but I would like your opinion on what its worth. This link will take you to my web site that has photos and a short description. I forgot to get the mileage for it but I don't think it has any more than 50-70,000 on it.

For retirement, you will need to keep in mind that the RV is considered a class C by all upscale RV Resorts and will not be allowed entry, if that matters to you. Those types of RVs are really a speciality item and getting any honest valuation will be hard. The stacker trailer is in the $25-$30K range. Good luck on getting a fair price for your friend.

If it is not what you want forget about it. Help her sell it on the net or local newspaper. Use nadaguides.com for an approximate value.

You must not have looked at the photos, I don't think NADA will cover this rig. Thanks anyway.

It appears you are correct about NADA using the name Elite. Is there another name on the unit? I did look at the pictures and I can understand why you may not want it. Again if it is not what you want just help sell it.

Go to racingjunk.com, browse ads, go to towing, look under truck/trailer combos. Or Toterhomes/RVs/Motorhomes, and then toterhomes. The second is for the "truck"/RV only. There you will find all kinds of these rigs like that for sale. That should give you a good idea of an ASKING price.

We configured a new 42' truck conversion with everything in 2006(Freightliner or Kenworth, 3 slides, 3 ACs, 450 Mercedes, granite, tile, garage, etc. etc. custom built for $250k. Since this is an '01 would be tough to get over $100k plus whatever the stacker is worth.

This is something for someone that does the race circuit. If I was selling it I would find someone into racing and see if they know any websites or publications aimed at racing. E Bay may be a place someone looking for something like this might look.

Race Rigs with a 13speed tranny limits the potential market. NADA doesn't consider them a Class A. Suggest to her she advertise heavily nationally in Race publications and RVTrader etc. Trailer will probably sell A-OK however. It'll probably be ugly $$ compared to what he paid for it. Have her sitting down if/when the offers come in. A 2005 Renegade/Freightliner w/10,000 miles offered at $240,000, 2007 Hawk/Kenworth for $179,000, so 'Google' up Kingsley, Dynaquest, Showhauler, etc. and E-bay etc for ballpark $$. Me? I'm broke.
