We will be traveling along I 84 from Portland, OR to LaGrande, OR the middle of July. We are looking for someplace to stay for a couple of nights. We would like water and electricity. Any suggestions?

Did the same route last year. We spent the night at Crowe Butte Park. This is a former Washington State Park on the north side of the Columbia, west of Plymouth. The park is on an island in the river. Great swimming. There are no nearby services. We crossed the Columbia at Hwy 97 and then went east on SR 14 until we got to the park. Next morning we continued east on SR 14 until we got to I-82. We'd go there again.

Peach Beach RV Park, near Maryhill sounds nice.

We usually stop at Bridge RV Park, White Salmon (across from Hood River), yes, I know have to pay toll bridge fees across and then back, but Hood River is a nice area.
