The Hydrogen Fuel cell used in electric engine applications produces lots of H20(water) and this water is expelled onto the roadway. If, someday, our hyways are chocked with these vehecles, will winter driving up north require the roadways to be heated to avoid ice? Also...I was always taught that all the worlds water existed millions of years ago and it is exactly the same amount today. None lost, none gained, just recirculated. If these fuel cells are "producing" water that didn't exist due to Mother Nature, what affects might this have on the environment and weather paterns when 100's of millions of these Hydrogen engines-in the future-are running all over the world??

The Earths Water Volume is and forever will be the exact same as it has always been! The problem is that We are making Water Dirtier at a higher rate than Mother Nature can Clean it!
Of course as the Earths Population increases more and more Water is being converted into People! We are after all 98% Water Ourselves!

So this hydrogen engine is making energy and the by product is water. Water is 2 parts hydrogen and 1 part oxygen. Save the water and reuse it.

If I ever get one of those electric cars I think I'll just duct tape a sponge on the end of the exhaust pipe and when I get home just wring it out in the birdbath. I know, I'm a genius.

To answer the OP's concerns.

1: "Exhaust water freezing" Actually it turns to water vapor (One form of water vapor it steam) I do not think it will condense out in time to turn the freeway into the Interstate 696 Skating Rink... Though I must admit it's happened from time to time that other things have done much the same thing. (It was the I-96, not 696, skating rink) And the I-75 more recently)

But it is water vapor that is produced, Liquid water, should it be produced can be stored and released later.

Second, as to "All the water that ever was, and ever will be, has always been and always will be" (yes, I know I paraphrased not quoted)

That is not true. At least not exactly.. In fact it's about as exact as my "Quote". Hydrogen and Oxygen exist in many forms.. They can combine and re-combine, One particular combination is water. Now. I suspect all the Oxygen and Hydrogen is being re-cycled and re-cycled, but to look at it from oxygen's point of view it might be as water, or Iron Oxcide, or Titanium Dixide or .. Any of thousands of other compounds.

Likewise Hydrogen can be water, Sugar, Gasoline, and much much more. (Again thousands)

I think what will happen is what has been happening for,,, Well, since before time.. It will break down and re-combine with other elements Same as always
